Took a break in the break room!

HI EVERYBODY!

I had a strange incident a few months ago. I will only say I have to be careful who knows about this blog. I had a weirdo who was following me from blog to blog. I was shocked and felt uneasy because I had no idea he was doing that. I live in a very small town and I guess word has traveled about my blog.

He was a Sears repairman who asked about a post about me on another site. "So, you travel a lot?" was the comment. I had just mentioned that in the other blog. There was no other way he could have known that. I don't like the idea of a stranger knowing I am may not be at home.

At any rate I can't allow that to deter me from what I enjoy. All of you, your blogs and my own blog. I will just have to be more careful about certain things.

So, I AM BACK!

I thought this was so cute! There is one with a tiny car I will share next
Don't forget to tap on the full screen to see it better

I have gotten back to my office complex among other things while I was on break
This is the beginning of the break room

I bought the sandwiches online from China. The machine is a pill container I painted black. If I find something else I like better  I may change it. Also need a soda machine

This is the whole office comlex. Lots of work to be done here! There is an event planner office, and a few others I am still working out in my mind.
You can see the break room on top of the second tower from the left.

This is the start of the lobby. The elevator door is only propped against the back wall. The green part on the floor is just a mat and will be removed when the carpet is in place.
The wall paper is real life wall trim cut to size

I'm sorry to hear you had an online stalker -- that's so stressful. I hope the situation clears up peacefully.

    1. Hi Smaller,
I felt stronger with meditation. I am not affected by him anymore. But it was scary because he was standing in my home.

  5. Oh how CREEPY! If that guy works for Sears (as a contractor or as a store employee), I'd be tempted to report his unwelcome and inappropriate interest in your travel habits to someone higher up. Even if he didn't actually mean anything by it, he should be made aware that it's not appropriate. Something tripped your 'not right' radar about the encounter. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I wouldn't ignore that.

I love, love, love that automat machine you made! If you got some tiny cans of cola, you could just pop them in there alongside the sandwiches! (Maybe some tiny bags of chips, too?)

    1. Presto,
Hell there! You should have seen he follow up guy. For some reason he got down on one knee to write on my out my receipt using my sofa table, lost his balance and fell on the floor. He was quite large and I could not help him up. In the process he knocked over a wooden statue I had on the table. Fortunately it didn't break.
Thank you so much! I have some cans and bottles of soda, chips and candy bars in my mini "mall candy store" I guess I will go shopping in there and buy some things to put in the machine. LOL

    2. It's so hard to find good help these days. :( At least your statue didn't break.

I can't wait to see the updated vending machine!

  7. Hi Grandmommy
I love the office, what a clever thing to do I never thought about making an office building. sorry to hear abnout your stalker. We have beagles they are the best guard dogs in the world because they bark like crazy when someone comes into the yard but they wont bite them. we had the furnace go out during the winter and the repair man came to the house while I was at the store he walked in fixed the furnace and left the bill on the kitchen table. I now lock the back door I never have before but like you I live in a small town and nothing ever happens here. take care

    1. Hi there Marisa!
Thank you! I have a feeling I am going to get really involved with getting details right. I see so many talented miniaturists work I want to up my own skills.

It is a creepy feeling when others have access to you that you didn't know they had. I would have been really unnerved if someone came into my home like your repair guy did. I also have a dog (and a killer cat lol)

    1. Mini Confessions Hey there! Thanks. I kept looking at the pill box and thinking...this looks like something. What is cool is the individual sections actually open like a snack machine. I am OK as long as I focus on my fun mini people and dismiss anyone who is not a friend.

  12. There are some Very Strange people out there in the world and so I suppose that there must be a Few in our world of make believe as well*sigh* however, I am very glad to hear that you are pressing on after doing what you can to stay safe. Good for you Grandmommy! :D
Meanwhile I have to say that you have undertaken an Enormous project but what a lot of FUN it is already proving to be! I LOVE your sandwiches and the dispensary made from the blister pack is a really clever idea- good thinking! :D

  13. Hiya Elizabeth!

I wouldn't say he is in the mini world. He is an outsider looking in kind of like in the video above. LOL
Yes. I know it is a big project. Yet I think it might be a little simpler than a house or roombox. There is only so much that goes into an office...I think. LOL
Oh, by the way, it was not a blister pack but one of those containers that lets you know you took your pills each day. It is hard plastic. I only painted it black.

  16. Hi grandmommy!
Your post is a good reminder to be careful. Often times I wish I could be more "person" and share our names and more about where we live, etc, but then it's stories like this that remind me that it's always safer to be discreet! I am glad your situation seems to have resolved.
Thanks for sharing your behind the scenese photos! I adore the tiny little coffee machine/cups in the break room. :)

Yes, we get so comfortable with each other it is easy to forget we are on the world wide web!
You are welcome. We need to have coffee with our breaks right? :-)

  17. I love your cleverness, the pill container is genius.

(p.s. do you have a home security system? The monthly charge is not huge, installation is simple (wireless) and you can check the status when you are away via your phone. It gave me peace of mind when I visited the UK earlier this year. I mention it because of your comment about not liking strangers knowing when you are not at home). Stay safe, my friend.

  18. I am all late and wrong. I don't know how I missed this post. That sandwich looks delicious and edible.

That is weird about the guy following you on blogs. I hope he just thought he was starting a conversation and nothing more. But you do have to be careful.

  19. Hey there Janainah!
You are late? Look at me responding! LOL Glad you like the sandwich. The guy kind of registered on my weirdo register. You know how you get that feeling. Also, you have to know my little town to really get it.
